Mark: Im ready to ride. However the bike is not.

I got the thing registered. Charged the battery. Put it in and nothing. The tail light comes on but no brake light, no blinker, no elec. start, nothing. The battery has juice but nothing works. How messed up was the ignition switch anyways? Was is touchy? Cuz I had to wiggle it just to get the tail light to come on. maybe it needs a new one. Other than that I cant think of what else it could be. I have points ready to go in but I think she may have an ignition issue.

Been sitting outside right? unscrew the right handgrip and clean it up the switch in there get dirty...and as for the ignition key switch it has three positions off, then the first click which is on and run, and the second click which is just brake lights(if you are on the side of the road or something like that) also since it has benn dso damp, electrical cleaner might be a good idea just to get moisture out f all the connections

Or don't forget to check the oil tank!

yeah trash in the tank does it(moisture and believe it or not dried gas!) probabally knockin needle of it's seat and pumping gas out the over flow....i cleaned it out and rebuilt the petcok once and it stopped it, but I net it is all trashed up again... maybe take it down and run a can of carb cleaner through it one time or so... we could always gut it and up an inline cheap valve in it...
