The puny 2.0L Mitsu motor is OUT and on the floor..

The new Monte Carlo's/Impala SS's come with a 303hp FWD LS4 engine thats derived off the LSx Series motors.. I managed to score one with a transmission and am going to drop it in my beater. This thing is gonna fly, and should be done sooner than the Ty since its simpler !!!! Overall the LS4 motor with Auto Trans is only about 2" longer tha the DSM setup when mounted transversely..

The question is.. Should I throw a cam at it before I drop it in ? Future plans are to hit it with a 150 shot and some EFILive tuning (since I already own EFILive) all while scoring 30+ mpg..

LOL.. The 2.0 motor is going back in... I just figuired I'd get a rise out of people if I told them I was gonna do this swap..

I have no desire at this time to hot rod anything related to the eclipse..

It came out because it needed a timing belt and a clutch.. Since you gotta damn near remove the motor to get to the clutch anyhow, it just made it all that easier to justify yanking it for access to the timing belts on the opposite side..

So throw a coupla belts on it.. and a clutch and its going back in..
