Eric...if you recall what we talked about. I got some good comparative information here to chew on. Underlined are the ones I like. The others are just for comparison.

up to 400 - GT3071R (full boost by 4000-4200 rpm but more money invested in manifold, waste gate, & lines)
400-450 - GT30R
450-500 - GT3040R
500+ - GT35R

up to 300 - GT28R
300-340 - GT2871R .64 (Up to 360 with external dump)
full boost by 3750 rpm, stock location

340-380 - GT2871R .86 (full boost at higher RPM than the GT3071R. Stock location)

380-440 - GT8271R .86 (with external dump)
more top end. Stock locaction

Some more to chew on...

"at the crossover point (16 psi intake/exhaust) the housings rank as following:

2871 - .64 - 17.5 lb/min
2871 - .82 - 19 lb/min
3071 - .63 - 19 lb/min
3071 - .82 - 22.5 lb/min

so for a given pressure drop the 3071 t3 .63 housing can support as much flow as the 2871 t2 .86. however the geometry of the t3 .63 will result in faster spool as evidenced by this car making 16 psi by 4100 and .86 2871 cars making 16 psi around 4400."

you definately need a 71, but your gonna have to decide on your end if you want to spend all the extra cash to go with the better performing T3 setup over a T25 setup where everything just bolts in palce.

cash vs. performance..... large price change for a small performance change. your choice.

Yeah, let me do some soul searching on this one. Either way a new manifold will be needed if I go external gate. I dont think the collector on mine is large enough to have a flange welded on. Ive seen stock log manifolds with the wg flange welded on but I would be spending money to move backwards.
