we started this build with a new nitrided crank. we set it up in the mill to be knife edged. next it will be balanced. the case halves are out for boring/honing. by the time they are back we should have the crank cut, and the rotating assembly balanced.

while i finished up machining the crankshaft on the old bridgeport, buena started balancing the rods and pistons. once i finished cutting it we sent the crank out to be balanced.

today was all about cleaning, cleaning and some more cleaning. the block is back from boring/honing, and the crank is back from balancing. all the gasket surfaces were scrubbed then the cases were tanked. the rods, pistons, and crank were also cleaned. next comes assembly!

assembly time! this engine is finally going together. we lubed the crankshaft and friction coated bearings before torquing them to spec.

this is a little out of sequence but since i was already turning out a bunch of TGV's, i went ahead and disassembled haiho's tgv's and milled the dividers out of them. when we are porting the heads we will match them at the same time.
