......and more cabinets. got a few tricky cabinet mods to pull off to get the glass front oven and microwave to sit flush into these cabinets. i need to move the drawer to the bottom and modify the opening so the microwave will slide in place. time for the biscuit joiner and the table saw!

the landscaping is going pretty well. i had about 5 loads of topsoil brought in to bring the grade up where its supposed to be in the front of the house. we started planting a few decorative trees today, tomorrow is bushes and another tree, and Tuesday is grass time!

one thing thats driving me nuts is the one spot where the grade is too steep. i think i need a small retaining wall up beside the back porch.

one of the things thats been on my list to do is water test the whirpool tub before the granite gets installed over top of it. its always a good idea to fill the tub to the over flow drain, and run the pump and water heater while checking for any leaks. once the tub is covered with a granite top its very difficult to remove if you have any problems or damage that might have occurred during shipping or installation. one thing i learned real fast.... don't turn on the pump before the water is at least 2" above the rear most angled jets (back massage jets). otherwise it shoots up into the air and all over the front wall. lol
