the old NA 2.5 motor decided to throw a rod thru the engine case, so we started hunting a wrecked STI to do a full swap on his RS. we located a car and started the tear down..... we had lots of help from friends that jumped at the opportunity to tear apart an STI. enjoy the pictures!

you guys made quick work of stripping that car. Any chance you still have the filler neck rubber peice there at the shop? The s202 is leaking from there.

goodwin worked with steve to get the necessary hardware to do the block work localy. a torque plate was purchased to apply the correct torque to the case halfs and sleeves while honing to size. bushings were also purchased so that the case halfs can be bolted into the surfacing machine. this will give us a dimensionally accurate deck surface relative to the centerline of the crank.
