finally started on the car...... 383 low compression small block with aftermarket fuel injection, 50lb/hr injectors, aluminum heads, and a nice turbo friendly cam. probably gonna take the blue lines off it, but otherwise its good just like it is.

i know it looks like troy is humping the motor, but a couple of the upper bolts were tough to get to. once the trans was out we attached the hoist to the motor and pulled it out just enough to get the oil pan off it.

welded in a couple of oil return fittings (-10) for the twins we plan on installing, then we reinstalled the oil pan with a nice new felpro one piece gasket, and dropped the motor back down on the motor mounts. the TIG welder baked the paint off teh oil pan around the bungs, so im probably gonna touch up the paint in that area.

Thanks for posting the pictures and all the help this weekend E! Glad to hear the 200R4 crossmember is going to work also.

Oh, and I see you posted the pic of me humping the motor, but not one of you doing the same... :P

Prolly coz like E said, you were actually working.. If he had posted pics of him humping the motor we woulda never believed he was working in that pic..

Sorta like the cat looking up his leg picture...

One more thing:

Just so everyone knows,
1) A 4L80E weights about 5x the weight of a TH350.
2) It takes ~1.2hrs to get the convertor to slide into the trans...
