the game plan is to do a 2 step overhaul on this sweet ride.
step one is an electronic trans with lockup converter, and over drive.
step 2 is a twin turbo setup, and retune of the Holley ECU and F.A.S.T. trans controller.

nothing major going on yet..... collecting a few choice parts.

I just got mine today and have been looking through the sofware. So far it looks like a SWEEEEET set up. Using a 60E or 80E?

It'll be a 60E, but a 80E sure would be cool.

Okay, so the car is now officially in the TurboTime garage!

Here is what we are going to improve upon:

~ 300 RWHP & 350 RWTQ
An average of 13 mpg on the interstate
and a 13.8 @ 99mph

and what do ya know we decided to go with an 80E.

the custom 10" converter from coan is here. we had it stalled to match our normal built syclone dyno graph + 25% (troy has 2 extra cylinders) and we got it with our custom billet cover that has the bolt pattern for the standard small block rather than the new LS1 flexplate bolt pattern. also picked up a really low milage 4l80e and put a few goodies in it, including a shift kit. it will be here this week sometime. moo-cow says it looks pretty nice.

Im not sure what I find more entertaining. The parts or the pets and monkey socks...or those sexy E-legs.

Shift kit install/cleaning of the trans is complete other than picking up and installing a new front/rear seal and filter. If I can get a kitchen pass from management I might be able to bring it down on thurs.

BTW, the trans was beautiful inside...as in no wear at all that was visible without tearing it completely down. Gimme a ring if you want and we'll set something up.

Thanks Myclone!

It's good to know it wasn't trash to start with! Seriously though, thanks for the help.

No problem and my apologies for the initial procurement of the trans turning into a freakin circus. I chewed my guy at the salvage yards ass up one side of his office and down the other for dicking around. Long story short he is well aware of the fact Ive done a LOT of work for him as well as my money is just as green as the next guys (IMO). None the less that screw up put me a week behind right there.

FWIW dept,
The trans was practically spotless inside when I pulled the pan. Im used to going through trans's that have been hurt so it was kinda odd to pull a trans pan and find practically nothing stuck to the magnet. Im used to finding gear teeth or other misc important parts in the pan so yours was actually ejoyable to work on LOL.

Best of all I think we came in only slightly above your budget target but didnt blow it completely out of the water (I think its 100-150 bucks over what E said we could spend but I'll have to add the parts up to be sure).

Tell E's worthless self to pick up the phone and call me so maybe you guys can have the trans in your hands before the weeks out.
